Property owner mulling next move after McDonald’s closes in the Strip

PITTSBURGH — Dan Kamin said the notice that McDonald's was closing its restaurant at 1630 Penn Avenue came as a surprise.

“It seemed to be active, as far as I could tell,” said Kamin, president of Kamin Realty, which owns the restaurant property along with other retail real estate throughout much of the country. “I thought they did a good business.”
