PITTSBURGH — Roots Natural Kitchen, which made its Pittsburgh debut on Forbes Avenue in the former location of Red Oak Cafe, is poised to open a second restaurant in the city.
The restaurant, which takes a fast-casual approach to a menu of bowls and salads made of healthy ingredients, is marketing that it will open a second Roots Natural Kitchen on March 13 at the Junction, the shopping center redeveloped out of the former Don Allen complex on Liberty Avenue near Baum Boulevard.
Featuring a coming soon notice on the restaurant’s website to expect a March 13 opening, the new Bloomfield location of Roots Natural Kitchen will be the seventh for the company, three of which are in its home state of Virginia, with the others in Delaware and in State College.
