This brand seeks to add its updated name to Pittsburgh’s skyline

PITTSBURGH — Pending approval from the Pittsburgh Zoning Board of Adjustments, look for the corporate brand of Federated Hermes Inc. to appear on Pittsburgh’s downtown skyline in the near future.

The company presented its proposal to the Pittsburgh Zoning Board of Adjustment on Thursday to replace the now outdated name of Federated on its headquarters in Liberty Center downtown to Federated Hermes, the name it first took on in 2018 after the publicly traded investment fund manager bought a majority stake of what was then a London-based firm called Hermes Fund Managers Ltd. that July.
