What BJ’s Wholesale Club paid for the site of its new store in South Fayette

PITTSBURGH — Massachusetts-based BJ’s Wholesale Club (NYSE: BJ) paid $5.75 million for the more than nine acres of land within the Newbury Market master plan in which it has approval to build a new store, according to county real estate records.

It’s a sales price of more than $575,000 per acre for a site in which BJ’s is expected to become an anchor draw at a Newbury Market that’s taken years to get off the ground but is now showing signs of momentum.
