WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — Andrew’s Avengers were out in full force Friday night to remember Andrew O’Neil, who died earlier this week after a long battle with cancer.
Andrew, 5, of North Huntingdon, died Monday night of stomach cancer.

His supporters, known as Andrew’s Avengers, packed Norwin High School Friday dressed as Andrew’s favorite superheroes, Disney characters and Pittsburgh athletes.
Diagnosed in April, Andrew bravely battled cancer, drawing inspiration from his biggest hero, University of Pittsburgh running back and cancer survivor James Conner.
"I look out at the sea of shirts. We have Andrew’s Avengers, superheroes. I think I saw some Disney, and it just warms my heart because I know I'm looking at the impact that Andrew has made,” one of Andrews’ relatives said.
Andrew’s funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin.
