State police: Bouncing tractor-trailer tires may be to blame in fatal I-79 crash

PITTSBURGH — A fatal accident Monday morning caused heavy delays on Interstate 79 near the Mt. Nebo exit.

According to initial reports, the accident involved two vehicles at mile marker 67.

Channel 11's Brandon Hudson reported that state police believe bouncing tractor-trailer tires may be to blame. Troopers said it's possible the tires fell off a truck, hitting an SUV and another car.
