Girlfriend charged in connection with murder of man in Jeannette

JEANNETTE, Pa. — A Jeannette woman is facing homicide charges in connection with the death of her boyfriend last month.

Crystal Marie Belle, 36, turned herself in early Thursday morning after she had been gone for six weeks, according to detectives.

Her boyfriend, 19-year-old Khalil Parker, died on June 11. He appeared to have been badly beaten, with cuts and defensive wounds on his body.

Police said that when officers arrived at Belle’s apartment that night, she was giving Parker CPR and said he showed up in that condition.

In court documents obtained by Channel 11 News, detectives described the second-floor apartment in which Parker was found as being soaked in blood. Police found shoelaces tied to the bedposts in the master bedroom, a bloodstained portion of a metal snow shovel, a wooden plank, tape and a pair of bloody pliers.

“I watch enough crime programs to know no place is safe from anybody that wants to make mayhem,” neighbor Shirley Kocherhans said.
