NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — A man was killed in a crash in New Kensington Monday.
Westmoreland County dispatchers said a head-on crash happened on the 366/56 bypass ramp leading to Route 56 at 3:05 p.m.
A man, later identified as Richard Kern, 69, was killed in the crash, officials said. He was driving eastbound when he crossed the center line. His cause of death was listed as blunt force injuries.
Another person was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
New Kensington police said the Memorial Park area by Craigdell Road will be closed for some time as they investigate the crash.
