11 Cares: Families celebrate Halloween at Pittsburgh Zoo

PITTSBURGH — Families came out to the Pittsburgh Zoo to celebrate Halloween and collect some treats.

The Pittsburgh Zoo was packed with local businesses from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during their annual ZooBoo event.

Trick-or-treaters were able to collect treats from different areas of the zoo.

Channel 11′s David Johnson, Cara Sapida, Liz Kilmer and Susan Koeppen were at the WPXI table next to the elephants in the African Savanna area.

Families could enjoy magic performances, haunted spots, and a costume contest was also held.

Anyone who missed ZooBoo can still enjoy the event on Oct. 23, 29 and 30.

Channel 11 will be back at the zoo for the celebration next Saturday.
