23-year-old killed in crash with DUI driver in Somerset Co.

BOSWELL BOROUGH, Pa. — A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a DUI crash in Boswell Borough, Somerset County, Saturday night.

Police said Jessey Morrison, of Boswell Borough, was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle on Main Street about 6 p.m. when he crashed into a pickup truck that entered into his path near the intersection with Hower Avenue.

The driver of the pickup truck, Leroy Lepley, 56, of Boswell Borough, was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash and was arrested, police said.

According to a news release from state police, Lepley was driving his Dodge Dakota on Hower Avenue and failed to see Morrison traveling on Main Street. Lepley was attempting to drive across Main Street when he traveled into Morrison's path.

Morrison died after he was thrown from the bike, which struck the front passenger-side fender of Lepley's truck, police said.

Charges are pending against Lepley.
