Pittsburgh Public School staff member, 4 students involved in confrontation at high school

PITTSBURGH — A confrontation at a Pittsburgh Public School that involved a staff member and four students is under review, according to a district spokesperson.

The incident happened at Pittsburgh Westinghouse Tuesday.

The students will be disciplined according to the district’s code of conduct and the staff member was placed on leave.

No one was hurt, the district’s spokesperson said.

This is not the first situation like this in the district this year.

A Brashear High School student is facing criminal charges after allegedly punching a school officer in November. A school police officer was hurt the following week after being assaulted by four students, also at Brashear High School.
