MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. — A man has died after being hit by a car on the McKees Rocks Bridge Monday afternoon.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner has identified the victim as Robert P. Kepple, 41, of McKees Rocks.
Police had said Kepple had been taken to a local hospital in critical condition Monday after the crash. He died Tuesday.
Initially, police, fire, and medics were called to the scene around 2 p.m. Monday.
The driver of the car remained at the scene, according to police. The bridge was shut down in both directions for about two hours before being reopened.
Allegheny County police are investigating.
On Saturday evening, one person was killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision on the Pittsburgh side of the bridge.
