PITTSBURGH — A person has been removed from a vehicle submerged in the Mon River.

Allegheny County dispatcher said emergency crews were called to the area of the 900 block of Second Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Bluff neighborhood.
Second Avenue is closed between the 10th Street Bridge and the Birmingham Bridge.
Dive teams began entering the water at around 5:20 p.m.
The victim was removed at around 5:45 p.m. Their condition is unknown at this time.
Allegheny County dispatchers said one person was taken to a hospital from the scene.
At 6:00 p.m. police told Channel 11 they believe the vehicle came off the Parkway.
Team 11 Meteorologists estimate that the water is around 33 degrees at this time.
