MUNHALL, Pa. — Flames gutted a home in Munhall early on Monday morning.
The fire broke out on Harrison Street, off of East 8th Avenue in Munhall, before 3 a.m.
Our crew on scene saw flames shooting out of the roof, along with a thick tower of smoke pouring from the structure.
The Munhall Central Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Company says by the time they got on scene, the duplex was “well involved.”
Firefighters remained on scene for nearly 10 hours, dousing the flames and demolishing the rest of the building due to safety issues.
We’re told the building was vacant. There’s no word on how the fire started.
