JEANNETTE, Pa. — A former head wrestling coach at Jeannette High School is facing several charges, including five felonies, related to an alleged sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female student, according to Channel 11's news partners at TribLIVE.
The affidavit of probable cause states that the victim told police that Joshua Ryan Westfall, 26, of Jeannette, initiated their relationship through text messages in September 2014.

She went on to state that she slept in bed with Westfall on more than one occasion, including Thanksgiving weekend, when she claims he performed a sex act on her, according to the affidavit.
In addition to the victim’s statements, the affidavit stated that the high school principal told police that students had come to her about rumors that Westfall was having sex with a student. The principal told police that when she confronted him, Westfall admitted that students had slept at his home but denied any inappropriate conduct with any student, the affidavit said.
Westfall resigned from the wrestling program early this year, according to TribLIVE.
Westfall has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, two counts of institutional sexual assault, two counts of indecent assault and two counts of corruption of minors.
Jeanette School District Superintendent Dr. Matthew Hutcheson issued the following statement to Channel 11 News Monday:
"The school district is cooperating with law-enforcement on this matter, but the district is not in a position to comment on this issue given the pending legal matters.
"Student safety and well-being is the priority of the district in all circumstances.
"The school district investigated the allegations against the coach immediately upon receiving information of possible inappropriate activity and immediately contacted the police in accordance with district policies and procedures."
