PITTSBURGH — One of Pittsburgh’s biggest law firms is considering one of Pittsburgh’s biggest new office buildings in the Strip District as part of an ongoing search for a new regional headquarters, one in which the office market stakes continue to rise amid the pandemic.

The firm is K&L Gates LLP, one of Pittsburgh’s 10 largest private companies and a firm whose name has been on the top of the 39-story, 628,000-square-foot K&L Gates Center for more than 10 years now.

Openly acknowledging the firm had been scouting for its next office in the year before the pandemic started, the firm provided a statement updating its approach after The Pittsburgh Business Times inquired about it being in talks over The Vision, a new 270,000-square-foot office development nearly built out along Smallman Street in the Strip District.
