Months after one restaurant caught fire, another is lending a helping hand to support employees without work.
More than 500 people gathered at Coughlin’s Law Kitchen and Ale House at Nebo Pointe on Monday. All of the proceeds of the event went to support the workers of Franklin Inn Mexican Restaurant, who have been without a job since a kitchen fire back in December.
“Buildings can be rebuilt,” Brad Weimer, Coughlin’s Law’s owner, said. “But many of us in the restaurant game, a lot of us are paycheck to paycheck, or day to day. And we got to take care of each other out there.”
Franklin Inn’s owner hopes to reopen by June.
