Man, 34, killed in mining accident in Somerset County

JENNER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man was killed in a mining accident in Somerset County on Friday.

Authorities were called to a Corsa Coal Corp. mine site in Jenner Township around 2 p.m.

State police said Joshua Mock, 34, was killed while operating a piece of underground mine equipment.

Pennsylvania State Police, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the US Department of Labor and Mine Safety are all investigating.
