PITTSBURGH — A man was taken to a hospital after a truck crashed into a utility pole in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood on Wednesday.
Allegheny County 911 confirmed police, fire and EMS were called to the intersection of Brownsville Road and Birmingham Avenue at 4:21 p.m.
Once first responders arrived, they found the driver was trapped inside the truck.
EMS and fire crews extricated the driver and he was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
No one else was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
