More than 200K Ohioans sign petition in favor of Steubenville rape whistleblower

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — More than 200,000 Ohioans have signed a petition asking the whistleblower in the Steubenville rape scandal not be charged.

Deric Lostutter, better known as KYAnonymous, admitted to posting incriminating pictures and a video online that helped implicate and convict two Steubenville High School football players of raping a girl.

Lostutter denied hacking into and posting the video on the school booster website.

The FBI raided Lostutter’s home in April and confiscated his computers.

He could face up to 10 years in jail if he’s convicted of hacking.
