PITTSBURGH — Pennsylvania families who struggle to put food on the table are getting a boost in SNAP benefits.
Starting Thursday, most SNAP recipients will see an increase of about $18. State officials say the increase is to accommodate inflation and rising food costs.
There are also new income limits, but the state says no one will experience a decrease in benefits.
The changes are part of the state’s annual re-evaluation of the program.
