Authorities: Shots fired during Mt. Washington bank robbery

PITTSBURGH — A Mt. Washington bank was robbed for the second time in the past few weeks Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities said the First National Bank along Shiloh Street was robbed about 12:30 p.m.

Gunshots were fired but no one was hurt, FBI spokeswoman Kelly Kochamba said.

The FBI's bank robbery task force is involved, but Pittsburgh police are taking the lead on the investigation, she said.

Details about the case, including the amount of money taken, the person who fired the shots and the gender and name of the suspect, would come from the Pittsburgh police, she said.
