Pets rescued from house fire in Pittsburgh’s Crafton Heights neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — No people were hurt during a house fire Friday in Pittsburgh’s Crafton Heights neighborhood.

Firefighters were sent to the 1500 block of Obey Street around 6 p.m., according to the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department.

Crews quickly kept the fire contained to the main floor.

The one resident wasn’t home at the time, but two dogs and a cat were rescued safely, officials say.

The fire’s cause is under investigation.
