TULSA, Okla. — The Pittsburgh Riverhounds are the USL Champions for the first time ever.

After a 0-0 draw, the Riverhounds defeated FC Tulsa in a penalty kick shootout 5-3 on Saturday at ONEOK Field in Tulsa.

It was the Riverhounds’ first title win in the club’s 26-year history.

“Still a little bit in disbelief right now, but also, I do know I’m just very, very happy and excited for everybody associated with this organization,” acting head coach Rob Vincent said.

Beto Ydrach scored the title-winning kick.

Goalie Eric Dick, who did not allow a single goal throughout the playoffs, won his third-straight shootout. He was named MVP of the final.

This is a developing story that will be updated.
