Pittsburgh Weekend Winter Storm: Lights scattered snow showers continue intermittently Sunday

PITTSBURGH — Watch for icy spots and early Sunday as wet roads could have refrozen in a few spots. Temperatures dropped near freezing at times overnight, and the threat of drizzle, snow showers and even freezing drizzle could make some roads slick.

Scattered snow showers will continue off and on Sunday, but daytime high temperatures will climb above freezing so most roads will be mainly wet. An additional coating of less than 1″ of snow is possible by Sunday night.

Another powerful system will impact travel plans early next week, bringing soaking rain, the threat of snow showers, and strong wind gusts. Stay with Severe Weather Team 11 as we continue to update the forecast.
