Police investigating armed robbery at Greenfield bank

GREENFIELD, Pa. — Authorities are looking for two men who robbed a Greenfield bank Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, one of the men was armed with a shotgun when they entered the PNC Bank on the corner of Murray Avenue and Loretta Street just before 1 p.m.

Pittsburgh police Sgt. Lavonnie Bickerstaff said the gunman racked the shotgun, pumping a cartridge into the chamber, while the other man took cash from the tellers' drawers.

No shots were fired and no patrons or employees were injured during the robbery, officials said.

The robbers fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police.
