MONROEVILLE, Pa. — Police officers from departments across Allegheny County distributed gifts to more than 120 students on Monday at Sunrise School in Monroeville.

This is the fifth year for the Sunrise Presents from Police event.
Police departments include those from Aspinwall, Hampton, Upper St. Clair, Pittsburgh City, Port Authority, Shaler Township and Etna, as well as Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office.
“We’re grateful to law enforcement throughout the region for their time and generosity collecting hundreds of toys each year for our students,” said Marisa Esposto, principal of Sunrise School. “It brings a smile to all our kids’ faces. It’s truly amazing to see how much they do for our kids.”
Sunrise School is a special education school operated by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, serving students ages 5-21 with special needs.
