PITTSBURGH — Police investigating a string of car break-ins in the city’s Strip District and South Side arrested two suspects early Friday morning.
According to the police report, plain-clothed officers spotted Wayne Leviege Jr. and Dwayne Cash breaking into cars in the area of 2nd Avenue and McKean Street just before 1 a.m. Friday.
Authorities said the suspects fled from the officers but were arrested a very short time later.
Investigators said they had stolen items on them when they were arrested including three cellphones, a laptop computer and a purse with credit cards.
Leviege and Cash will be charged with theft and criminal conspiracy, police said.
