ARMSTRONG COUNTY, Pa. — State police are asking for help from the public identifying a man accused of stealing a wallet and trying to use the credit cards inside it minutes later.
Pennsylvania State Police in Kittanning says the theft happened at Franklin Village Mall in East Franklin Township on Jan 2.
Police say a man tried to use multiple cards at a Dollar General within the shopping plaza around 2 p.m. Those cards were reportedly from a wallet stolen from the nearby Tractor Supply parking lot minutes before.
The man is seen in surveillance video wearing glasses, a gray beanie and a brown Carhartt Jacket.
Anyone with information on who this man may be is asked to call PSP Kittanning Station at 724-543-2011 or submit a tip online.
