Shaler students working with Allegheny Land Trust to save Monarch butterflies

SHALER, Pa. — Back in October, we spoke with Shaler students who are trying to save Monarch butterflies, by working with the Allegheny Land Trust to preserve Girty’s Run Watershed.

Now, the students are continuing to help the butterflies by raising money for the Reserve Township and Shaler projects.

They had a goal of $5,000, and they’ve already raised $13,000. The students’ new goal is $17,000.

They were packing seeds on Saturday. For a $15 donation, you can get a pack.
