Steelers WR George Pickens ruled out for Sunday’s game in Philadelphia

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Pickens has been dealing with a hamstring injury since last week, where he was also ruled out for Pittsburgh’s win over the Cleveland Browns.

“Obviously you adapt. It’s the reality in the NFL,” said Smith. “Sometimes you have contingency plans. That’s why you plan ahead. If he plays, here’s what we’re going to do. If he doesn’t, how many snaps, whatever it is. That’s what you try to prep ahead of time so you’re not scrambling an hour before kickoff. It’s part of your job.”

Safety DeShon Elliott has also been ruled out this week with a hamstring injury. Defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi is out with a groin injury.
