An iconic Mid-Atlantic convenience store chain now appears in one of the country’s most-played video games.
Sheetz is debuting a custom map, “Sheetz Run: Only Up!,” within Fortnite where players worldwide can take characters on an action-packed “Sheetz Run.”
The map, which is available now, offers “players the chance to navigate a massive, twisted gauntlet filled with their favorite Sheetz menu items.”
Sheetz says it’s one of the first convenience stores to have an exclusive map in Fortnite.
Sheetz is holding a month-long challenge to celebrate this feat with a $25,000 prize pool at stake. From Jan. 24 to Feb. 23m Fortnite players can record their quickest runs and submit them to a Discord server. The 25 fastest Sheetz Runs by the end of the challenge will split the prize pool. The official prize amounts are as follows:
- 1st place - $10,000
- 2nd place - $5,000
- 3rd place - $3,000
- 4th place - $2,000
- 5th place - $1,000
- 6th-10th place - $500
- 11th-25th place - $100 Fortnite V-Bucks Card
Ryan Sheetz says the company is always looking for innovative ways to engage with Sheetz customers.
