Woman hit by car on Pittsburgh’s North Side

PITTSBURGH — A woman was hit by a car on Pittsburgh’s North Side Friday.

Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said emergency crews responded to East Street at East North Avenue for a reported pedestrian hit by a car.

The woman hit was found conscious, alert and was speaking with responders, officials said.

The woman was taken inside Allegheny General Hospital for evaluation in stable condition.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
