MCKEES ROCKS, Pa.,None — A McKees Rocks woman was shot by a BB gun while picking up garbage late Saturday night, police said.
Lynette Rose was shot once in the back and once in the back of her right arm, officials said.
Justina Rose came to her mothers defense and called police.
She was lifting the dumpster and she said she felt a really bad pain in her back, Justina said.
Rose said her mother frequently picks up trash from the Tasty Freeze, which either blows into or is thrown into their yard.
McKees Rocks police reported to the scene within minutes and arrested Robert Reidell.
Officers said they confiscated a BB gun pistol and charged Reidell with assault.
