Mercer Bowling Alley Owner Facing Child-Sex Charges

MERCER, Pa.,None — The owner of a Mercer bowling alley faces more charges that he had improper sexual contact with children at his business.

James Kopan, 46, of Sharon, was arraigned on charges including indecent exposure and corruption of minors because police said he showed a 12-year-old boy pornography and had illegal contact with the youth in May at Kopan's Tornado Alley bowling establishment in Coolspring Township.

Kopan was already facing charges that he exposed himself to four children, ages 7 to 12, and showing them pornographic images on his computer in November.

State police in Mercer said children or parents who know of similar incidents should call authorities.

Kopan faces a preliminary hearing April 14.
