PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh’s winter has been fairly mild so far this season. On Valentine’s Day in 2015, however, it was a different story.

Snow squalls moved in across the region that Saturday afternoon, with heavy bands of snowing producing whiteout conditions. Across the Pittsburgh area, wind gusts were reported up to 50 mph.
There were fatalities and injuries reported across three states. In Ohio and Indiana, four people were killed. Nineteen people were injured across Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania before the snow event would end.

So far for the winter of 2019-20, the National Weather Service says there have been no Winter Storm Watches or Winter Weather Advisories issued for Allegheny County.
