CARROLLTON, Texas — Rather than cite residents celebrating a graduation, Texas police officers who were called out for a noise complaint joined the family on the dance floor.
Video posted by the Carrollton Police Department Tuesday shows three responding officers walking along a sidewalk as a live band can be heard playing in a backyard.
“I don’t want to get in on this party, they’re having a good time,” an officer is heard saying in the video.
The officers are greeted on the front lawn and invited to join, under one stipulation -- they had to dance.
So they did.
Footage shows the officers briefly dancing before thanking their hosts and leaving to continue taking other calls.

"This is how Carrollton Texas Police Department (treats) Latinos," Luis Diaz said in a comment on the video. "I am very grateful with these great officers for allowing me to continue with my (daughter's) graduation party last Saturday."
