Three teens accused of robbing couple, raping woman at gunpoint

ALIQUIPPA, Pa — Three teenagers are accused of breaking into a home and raping a woman in Aliquippa, police said.

Malakai Helencamp, 17, and Michael Guin, 19, each turned themselves in after felony warrants were issued in connection with the incident on McMinn Street, police said. A third teen, 17-year-old Clarence Larue, was apprehended the day after the alleged crime took place and was taken into custody.

Aliquippa police Chief Don Couch said police believe burglary was the initial motive for the “horrific, horrific crime.”

Security video shows the teens boarding a bus to Aliquippa hours before what police described as a brutal assault.

According to a criminal complaint, the female victim told police that two men wearing masks entered the bedroom with small, black handguns. The men ordered her and her fiancé to stay still and not to move. The victim said the men asked, “Where is the money? Where is the weed at?”

Police said Larue and Helencamp raped the woman at gunpoint while Guin rummaged through the downstairs. The three escaped with money, electronics and jewelry, and stole the fiance’s car.

Larue was stopped by police in the stolen car the next day and taken into custody. In a statement to police, Larue said he, Helencamp and Guin had broken into the residence through the upper bathroom window. Police said Larue admitted he engaged in robbery, rape and burglary with Helencamp and Guin.
