Beer + Candy Pairings

Saturday, noon to 10 p.m. - East End Brewing (Larimer)

Halloween candy isn't just for the kids with this beer and candy event! For just $10, patrons who are over 20 can get a flight of beers and a corresponding candy.

Larger Than Life: Frankenstein & Karate Man Patrick Kim

Various times, 937 Liberty (Pittsburgh Cultural District)

Fictional worlds collide when larger-than-life stories of Frankenstein and Karate Man Patrick Kim are told in old-fashioned radio play style. Pittsburgh’s own Bricolage Production Company pairs with Tel-Aviv’s Haunt31 to present this two-part limited-run engagement using Foley sound effects in front of a “live” studio audience.

Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. - Monroeville Convention Center

ZooBoo is a kid-friendly Halloween event with not-so-scary haunt spot, create creepy crafts at Casper's Craft Corner and race through the children's hay maze.

THE GLOW: A Jack O'Lantern Experience

Weekends through October - Hartwood Acres Park

Meet Jack’s master carvers who will be on hand to demonstrate their artistry. Don’t be shy -- ask for carving tips or put in a request! So, grab a seasonal snack with and savor a beautiful fall night like you never have before.

Friday, 7 p.m. - Stage AE Indoors

Alice Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors.

Fright Up Night

Saturday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. - Market Square

Party like a zombie at Downtown's second annual spine-tingling Fright Up Night. Presented by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, in partnership with The ScareHouse, Fright Up Night will leave the Golden Triangle crawling with creepy creative cocktails, cuisine, and creatures of the night. The event is centered around Zombie Wrestling and the final Saturday Night Market in Market Square, but there are plenty of partners offering chilling activities throughout the evening! Make It Now: Glass-blown Pumpkins

Friday, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Pittsburgh Glass Center (Friendship)

Pumpkin making is one of the most popular activities at PCG. Anyone can participate and no experience is required. It's fun for everyone!

Haunted Holland and Nightmare in the Quad

Sunday, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. - University of Pittsburgh

Haunted Holland is a longstanding tradition at the University of Pittsburgh. Head to Holland Hall to enjoy an awesome haunted house put on by the Holland RA's and Hall Council!

Nightmare in the Quad is a fall fest style event with food, games, music, and tons and tons of fun all night long! There will be mini pie, caramel apples, hot chocolate, hot cider, funnel cake, a popcorn bar, pumpkin painting, a magician, tarot card reading, caricature artists and so much more!
