15-year-old boy killed when gun goes off inside Wilkinsburg home

WILKINSBURG, Pa. — A 15-year-old boy died early Wednesday morning when a gun went off inside a home in Wilkinsburg, police said.

The gun was being handled by three boys when it discharged shortly before 1 a.m. at the home on Franklin Avenue, according to investigators.

Marcus Gibson was found dead inside the home when police and paramedics arrived.

Detectives are in consultation with the District Attorney’s Office and are continuing the investigation, police said.
