When Channel 11 asked the Clairton School District for comment, it said, "We are saddened by the incident and remind all those that attend any sporting event -- adult and child -- that violence will never be the answer."

The Monessen City School District told Channel 11 it was unable to comment on student disciplinary actions, but the superintendent sent us a statement, saying, "Administration from both districts met today to review video and discuss solutions."

When Channel 11 contacted the executive director of the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League, we learned there will be a hearing on Monday.

Game officials and both schools will be there to explain what happened and what actions they've taken

The WPIAL board will then decide if those actions are sufficient.

The district is now working on identifying the adults involved in the fight.

All parties agree that charges need to be filed.

Both districts were closed Wednesday due to weather, but officials assure Channel 11 the investigation will continue Thursday.

As for Monday, the WPIAL hearing will be held at their Green Tree office at 4 p.m.
