PITTSBURGH — James Beard-nominated Executive Chef Bethany Zozula and beverage pro Sam Suter are taking their culinary skills most recently demonstrated at the Ace Hotel to the North Side.
City of Asylum Pittsburgh announced that the duo are set to open the new 40 North at Alphabet City in the North Side venue early this summer.
Zozula explained her motivation for the new restaurant: “I have been working in kitchens since I was 17. When Covid-19 shut down Ace, it was the first time that I had a moment to stop and reflect on who I had become and what really matters. After a year of reflection, I don’t want to go back to what we were; I want to start something new and better. I am so excited to feed people again.”
