Grandmother accidentally shot at local church by 10-year-old grandson

UNIONTOWN, Pa. — A woman was accidentally shot by her 10-year-old grandson Thursday at a church in Fayette County, police said.

The shooting happened shortly after 5 p.m. at Solid Rock Ministry on Millview Street in Uniontown.

Police said the boy found a gun in the living quarters at the church. He went outside and fired shots in the parking lot.

When the grandmother went to take the gun from her grandson, she was accidentally shot.

The grandmother was flown to a hospital in West Virginia.
