INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police in Beaver County are investigating a shooting in a rural area of Independence Township.
The victim, a 51-year-old man, was shot in the abdomen and found in the woods after apparently trying to chase the person who shot him.

Police from several communities were called to an address on School Road late Friday night for the shooting.
Charges including attempted homicide have been filed against Noah Brinkley, 21, of Aliquippa.
Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police-Beaver County.
