Wendy Camlin was director of patient care of obstetric and newborn services for UPMC and was attending a Pirates game in April 2015. As she turned to walk into the first-row seats behind home plate, a foul ball flew into the netting which stretched back and hit Camlin in the back of the head.

Promats, the maker of the netting, was found not responsible for the event, according to TribLive.com. The company had replaced the net three weeks before the incident.
