Missing Beaver Falls native found in Seattle after van located in another state

CHEYENNE, Wyoming — Jordan Lampus, the Beaver Falls native whose van was found in Wyoming “under suspicious circumstances,” has been found in Seattle, Washington, her mother told Channel 11’s Amy Marcinkiewicz Thursday morning.

Lampus’ mother said her daughter was taken to a hospital by police. She is OK, but was lost and did not have her glasses.

Seattle police told Channel 11 Lampus was found around 3 a.m. Thursday wandering around a local park. They said she called 911 and told operators she had been assaulted in the park, but an initial investigation found no evidence of that.

On Feb. 23, Lampus’ blue 2006 Toyota Sienna van was found on the side of the road by Wyoming Highway Patrol in Cheyenne, police said in a Facebook post.

Lampus, a junior at Gannon University in Erie, is from Beaver Falls.

“I talked to her Friday afternoon. She was coming home and then her phone turned off and it just kept going to voicemail. I knew on Saturday something was wrong,” Tina Lampus, Jordan Lampus’ mom, told Channel 11.

Once police got involved, the family learned Jordan didn’t register for classes this semester, stopped going to her paralegal job and was having trouble paying her bills. They had no idea.

Her parents said she suffered a concussion in November, leading to massive migraines for which she takes medicine. Still, they say it doesn’t add up.
