As Monday deadline to lift mask mandate nears, the push for vaccines continues in Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH — As Pennsylvania prepares to lift its mask mandate on Monday, the push to get more people access to the COVID-19 vaccine continues.

Allegheny County ranks second statewide in the percentage of residents with at least one vaccine dose.

While nearly 65 percent of white residents are at least partially vaccinated, only 41 percent of Black residents in the county are in the same position.

In the video above, Channel 11 spoke to community leaders about the steps they are taking to connect minority communities to the COVID-19 vaccine.
