PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police have arrested a third man in connection with the deadly shooting of 1-year-old Zykier Young.
Devon Thompson turned himself in to police and is facing several charges, including criminal homicide, more than a week after the other two suspects involved -- Andre Crawford and Marvin Hill -- were arrested.
Young was shot in his bed by a bullet that entered his home on Rhine Place when there was a shootout with multiple people outside on Aug. 24. The bullet that killed Young went through a window and two walls before hitting the boy.
Police officers rushed Young to the hospital. According to public safety officials, a police sergeant was driving while two officers held the baby in the back seat and worked to control the bleeding.
Young was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police have not said which of the three men charged fired the fatal shot.
