Thousands of dollars in merchandise stolen in smash and grab at T-Mobile store in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — A man broke into a T-Mobile store in Pittsburgh and stole about $3,600 in merchandise, and now police need help from the public to track him down.

The smash and grab, which was caught on security video, happened about 2:30 a.m. Monday at the store on Browns Hill Road.

Video shows the man dressed in a hoodie as he shattered the store’s glass front door. In a matter of about 30 seconds, he grabbed and ripped phones off displays before running away.

The security video was shared by police on Facebook in hopes that someone can help identify the man.
