An Indiana man did not get a sausage McMuffin on a recent trip to McDonald’s. He did, however, receive a bagful of cash that totaled $5,000 from the restaurant in Elkhart, the Indianapolis Star reported.

“Why would you do this to me,” Josiah Vargas said in a TikTok video that has gone viral since he posted it earlier this week. Do you know how bad I want this money? Why put me in this situation.”

Vargas’ video has been seen more than 2 million times.

“And I have to return this because I’m a good person,” Vargas said on his video while he pulled out small plastic bags of cash from his paper sack.

When Vargas walked into the restaurant, he asked the employees, “You guys laundering money out here?”

Assured that they were not, Vargas showed the workers the bag of cash, eliciting shocked responses.

“This is a blessing from God,” one person can be heard in the video. “I really want to give you a hug.”

Vargas got more than affection. He shared in his video that received $200 and free McDonald’s for a month, the Star reported.

That’s a lot of happy meals.

“Josiah’s actions are an inspiration to us all and we are eternally grateful for him returning our bank deposit,” store owner Estephan Awad told the newspaper in a released statement.

“Do good, people. Return $5,000 and get $200 and free McDonald’s for a month,” he said. “It’s a good trade value.

“And maybe a viral TikTok.”
